Loved this place! We just went for a drink And the staff were amazing, even though they had stopped serving food they still brought us chips for the table. We had a great night will definitely be making this place a regular for atmosphere, service and just a perfect place to go for some fun and to relax

We ate at Sheils Bar & Restaurant twice during our visit and really enjoyed it both times. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the traditional Irish setting gives the place a great atmosphere.Definitely somewhere we’d return to and highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Stayed in the camper van park a couple of days ago. Really lovely setting and the folks that run the bar are really nice. Had a fantastic burger and garlic potatoes. And a couple of very nice pints of Guinness. Will definitely go back that way and stay a bit longer.

We stayed in our campervan hooked up EHU £20 really quite night.We were then given back £10 voucher for food which we used for breakfast.Terrific pub, great Guinness , we had a brilliant night with the local people and the owners.Will definitely be returning once i have recovered.😊

I won a competition with Basil Sheils for an overnight stay in any of their properties! We chose Kings Cottage and had a wonderful relaxing night away! The house is just beautiful and their wood fired hot tub was amazing! We went for dinner beforehand in the restaurant and it was lovely! We enjoyed a few drinks in the bar sitting beside the fire. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone, the staff were very accommodating and even gifted us a bottle of Prosecco at the accommodation!

I’ve eaten in many places in my time but this place is just outstanding, you definitely won’t go hungry that’s for sure, the food is absolutely amazing I can’t fault it in any way! The service everything was first class 👌👌👌 I can’t wait to come back again

We had my daughters holy communion in Basil Shiels last week and I cannot recommend them enough! Food was amazing, service second to none, kids had a ball & excellent value!

We had our wedding here in August 2021. From the day and hour we booked, the staff, especially Geraldine & Michelle, they could not do enough for us. They kept in touch and asked exactly what we wanted. Nothing was too big or too difficult, sheils agreed to all our requests and made it happen. From start to finish our day was exactly what we wanted, the staff were so attentive and friendly, the head chef Connor & crew completely blew us away with his food (everyone raved about every dish) simply beautiful food. Wedding or not the food is too die for! It's lashed from start to finish on our wedding day and the staff were so accomadating and made sure this made no impact on our day! The atmosphere was relaxed, which was our main 'want' for our day, and we couldn't help but make a run for it to the bridge for some photographs in the beautiful surroundings. We could not recommend Basil Sheils enough if you are looking a wedding venue or even just to go for dinner or a night out. We had the best day, & Sheils made everything so easy and stress free. Thank you to all the staff.
